Default Random windsheild wipers

Sometimes when I put on the wipers I get nothing, turn the ****, nothing, turn the damn thing off and it will go four or five times then stop. Is it the clock spring, I notice that some times I need to punch the steering wheel to get the horn to work.

Wipers. Not the clock spring. Wiper circuit doesn't go through it. Just horn, airbag, cruise, and radio settings if equipped. You may have a bad switch on the stalk or wiring or the body control module.

Horn. Probably a bad horn pad switch, maybe a relay. Could be the beginnings of a clock spring issue.

I think on a 2000 it's still mounted on the firewall above the brake pedal or near it.
