while driving all of a sudden under the car had this noise of metal grinding, i pulled into a driveway and the trnasmission fluid in pouring out, i used the emergency brake to keep the car from rolling back. i just checked it a little bit about( about 2 hours after all that noise) and still some fluid dripping.

, it is going over to my mechanic tomorrow on a flat bed. i checked where it was parked in my drive way, and there might have been a few drops of transmission fluid. the transmission has never given me any trouble.

what am i looking at.

Probably the differential pin came loose and tore a big hole in the case. If so, you are looking a reman transmission.

 

never had trouble with the transmission,
yesterday, my tires were frozen to the ground and i had to give it some gas to get freer. i drove less than a mile, would that do it?

 

diff pin explosion is usually caused by wheel spin. But once it gets loose, it is just a matter of time before it goes. It was pretty common for awhile there.
