2002 DGC SE Intermittent wipers and dashboard power
Hello! I hope this forum can help me find some answers...
I purchased a 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan SE this summer. Over the last few months, I have had a handful of incidents where the wipers will suddenly stop working. At the same time, the front air blower stops, the radio shuts down and the panel lights on the instrument panel and central control panel go off.
Then, after a a short time (sometimes a few seconds, sometimes a few minutes) the lights and power return and everything works again.
Other than the 'power outages' the instruments, lights, wipers, etc all work normally.
It seems to happen when there is a high load - wipers, radio, blowers all going at the same time.
I suspect there is a faulty relay somewhere, but I cannot find a culprit that would cause all of the systems to do this at once - or be so random.
Any ideas are appreciated.

Looking at wiring diagrams I don't see common power sources, grounds, relays, fuses. The only thing I see in common are the Body Control Module (BCM) and Front Control Module (FCM) - the heart of the PCI data bus. They work hand in hand to control all the problem systems. Because it's so intermittent I doubt a reset will help but you could try disconnecting the negative battery cable for 2-3 minutes. Other than that remove the FCM (disconnect battery first) and check for corrosion on the contacts. Look for any corrosion on the IPM connections. That combination has been a problem source for many electrical faults.
