Uconnect 430 RBZ and iphone4s
Hello all,
I just got a new 2012 Grand Caravan with the 430 RBZ and uconnect. When I bought my van last week I had a android phone and they paired it just fine. However yesterday I upgraded to an iphone 4s. It worked for a few hours and now will not connect or let me pair it (keeps failing). I called uconnect customer service and they were WORTHLESS. She had no clue what I was talking about, and was rude on top of it.
Can anyone help me....please. This was seriously one of the only redemming things about having to drive a minivan, and now I don't even have that!!!!!
Thanks

1) in the settings menu-- General settings -- Bluetooth-- is BT on? Do you see Uconnect in the devices menu?
2) What happens if you press the Uconnect button and say "setup, select phone"? Uconnect should now ask you for the name of the phone or ask you to say "list phones". Say "list phones", is the Iphone on the list? if so then repeat the process above-- "setup, select phone", when she ask for the name of the phone, say the name of the Iphone that you called it when you paired it.
3) Do you still have the old phone paired to Uconnect? If so, is it in the vehicle by chance? I would delete the Android phone from Uconnect if you haven't already.
4) Have you tried to delete the phone from Uconnect and Uconnect from the phone to start a new pairing session?
5) I have had to do a reset on my IPhone a couple times when it was acting strange. (hold down the power button and the round wake button on the face of the phone till the Apple comes up and let it go thru the reset.

Hey Dude,
If they set up your phone for you at the dealership and it worked for you than don't panic as it probably a setting on your phone.
I found a similar issue with my wife's BB, I don't use the Iphone but am fairly experinced with computers etc.
Go into Bluetooth settings on your Iphone and make sure you have Bluetooth enabled and that it is listed as discoverable and that your phone is NOT set to turn off bluetooth to save power after a certain interval.
That should fix it for you.
