Default A/C fan

The fan in my wife's 2005 Caravan SE quit blowing. Is this difficult to replace for a beginner like myself? The A/C still gets cold, when the vehicle is rolling I turn on the A/C and the air gets cold, but no fan. It seems the fan is the only thing not working.

Advice?

Have you checked the fuses, resistor block, the blower controller, the relay, the switch and wiring?

Negative, but that's what I'll do tomorrow when I get home from work.

Tons of threads on here about replacing blower motors and blower motor resistors. Try the resistor, if it goes bad again fairly quickly, you will also need a blower motor.

Yep. I took to my electrical guy, took him a half hour but he says it was a resistor. He's gonna replace it and have it ready this morning, probly charge me an arm & a leg too. Anyway, diagnosing electrical stuff just causes me a headache.

So if it happens again I'll need to replace the resistor and fan motor?

yep, that is correct. The fan drawing too much is usually what causes the resistor to fail
