Default 2003 Caravan oil light comes on at a stop

My oil light comes on when I stop at a red light or stop sign. Then, as soon as I begin to accelerate again, the light goes out. What could be the problem?

Nine times out of ten the oil pressure transmitter/sender is the culprit. Change that, if it doesn't fix it connect a pressure gauge to see the true pressure. Make sure the oil level is up to speed.

Default The same thing happened to me !

I always use Fram , but my wife bought a different brand oil filter & I got the oil lite !! I bought a Ph 3614 Fram an the problem went away !
It's a cheap resolution @ $ 3.50 . My Thoughts Lovvorn

That's the part. Mine was leaking and causing the oil light to come on at idle. There are two different types, one for an oil pressure gauge and one for the oil light.

It takes a special tool because the size of the wrench wont fit. I used vise grip to remove and install. Light is off.
