Exclamation Where is the gas filter caravan 2004

Hi put it down the gas tank, And tried to locate the filter. There is not the filter on the chassis of the van, Here is one of the pictures.

The Dealers said is apart of the fuel pump, I'm not sure.

pic1 Gastank1 appears the whole tank.
pic2 Gastank2 appear something like a filter, but Im not sure

1 = inlet strainer
2 = fuel reservoir
3 = fuel pressure regulator
4 = fuel level sensor
5 = fuel filter
6 = ground straps

The fuel filter is only replaceable with the complete fuel pump module.

Rather than replace the fuel tank module could you punch through the old filter element and put a filter in the line?

There is no way to eliminate or bypass the old filter.

the filter on my 2000 GCV is on the outside of the tank but it uses what looks like a quick connect.and the hoses are pretty long. I also still had to lower the tank to get to the connection on the top of the tank.
