The wife and I really like our 2011 RT, as for trans like other Dodge trans it has a learning program and after a few days it no longer had what I thought was an odd shift pattern in Eco mode. In fact the wife told me she leaves it in Eco all of the time and after some 3K this way no trans problems. What we found out that using gas without 10% ethanol the computer mpg readout is showing improvement compared gas with 10% ethanol, so after several tanks of non ethanol mixed gas the computer readout is showing a 3.5 mpg increase, I hope it holds true but will not know for sure what it will be until we hand calculate the fuel mileage after we refill the tank.. As always to get long life from your engine don't skimp by using cheap dollar store oil & filters, spend a few extra dollars and buy quality oil and oil filters.

Getting better mileage without ethanol is no surprise at all. Gallon for gallon ethanol does not have the same ignition properties as straight gasoline. Basically you burn more ethanol than you would gasoline to get the same power.

I have the 2009 GC (looks like a 2010 model) with 3.3L, 4 speed tranny. Runs great, Stow & Go have the Japs green with envy! BUT get the Extended Warranty!! if buying one!! There is a issue with the brakes/rotors wearing out every 14-20K miles (32K kil). they are simply a bit lighter duty than the van could use. Period. They stop GREAT, but I had my FRONT rotors and pads just changed @ 20k miles. Rear was changed at 14K miles on DRIVERS side. Dodge claimed caliper was hanging up. It was! All done under warranty. NOT Emerg Cable as some said!!

Then REAR brakes again (drivers side!) hot and smelly once more. (only 2K miles later. Dodge replaced right rear caliper and pads again. Just charged me $85 for pads.

Then 500 miles (yes 500!) rear wheel again HOT and smelly. They just finally diagnosed rear wheel bearing was culprit, and changed it! So far so good........ at 500 miles.

Moral is.... get the extended CHRYSLER warranty ($100 deductible). They wanted $2000 when they offered new. I said no thx and they wouldn't let me leave when I said "I don't want it, rather take the gamble. " They said after (5 minutes) "how bout $690?" 6 years/70K miles bumper to bumper. Normally doesn't cover "wear items" like wiper blades & pads. (does cover rotors!) Glad I have it as I want 7 years out of this sled! Loaner car allowance of $35 a day is worthless around NY. I went without the van 1 day and they did all other work while I waited! (2-3 hours) Still a pain but appreciated the expedited service @ 7:15 AM. (They give ride to work also but I am a salesman so no good for me!)

Still running great. So far. The 6 speed trannys in ALL makes and models brands, are fidgety. They all try to get into 6th gear ASAP, to deliver lower eng RPM's and thus better MPG!. Every Audi/Lexus/GM/Ford owner complains. The new, bigger Pentastar 3.6L (2011-20121?) has much more HP/torque and mitigates the issue somewhat. My 2 GM 6-speed sleds have same issue. Just test drive for 20 minutes before ya buy. Welcome to the future! LOL

PS...........when FRONT pads rotors replaced they charged me $100 (under the extended warranty!) for all. Normally not covered after factory warranty and 12K miles. Said they were worn a lot a 20K miles. I DO alot of local driving with a full load and hard braking..... you be the judge. But the REAR was another matter........

I spent $17K plus tax, new. (no leather/nav/) Hard to complain too much. Jap vans were $5-8 more for same stuff, at least
