Default Coil Spring Crossover

Hi everybody...new member so go easy. I've done a quick search here and on the web and I've had no luck on this one. I have a 2003 Dodge Caravan with the 3.3L Engine and one badly busted front coil spring. Before I up and buy a new set of springs would it stand to reason to think that the Grand Caravan has taller springs and give me better ride height? The struts are a the same...just the coils seem to be different. Does somebody have an idea why?

Thanx so much,
Dan

Welcome to the forum Dan. Coil springs are calibrated for the suspension package the van was built with. The grand vans would probably have stronger springs to handle the additional weight but I don't think the ride height would change with either. There are around 20 different spring part numbers

Speaking of springs. Tizzy do you know of anyone dropping their van an inch or so? Are there aftermarket springs available?

Thanks

Eibach had a lowering kit for 96-2000 Caravans. I have no idea what they have for your van. Push comes to shove, you can remove the rubber isolators to drop the van a bit. Just be forewarned that the maximum drop is under 1" otherwise the change in geometry will require a camber kit to keep your tires in good shape.
