I have a 2003 Caravan that I had hoped on replacing the balljoints. A couple forums gave instructions that seemed pretty straightforward. However when I read my Haines repair manual it stated that the balljoints are not serviceable and the entire control arm had to be replaced. Can this be correct? I find it hard to believe but these manuals have always been correct for me. any help is appreciated

 

I see no reason why you can't just replace the ball joints. I replaced the control arms on my van and the new ones came with ball joints but I didn't see anything that would stop you from doing the ball joints.
