I have a 99 voyager that i bought last year. It was very well taken care of and maintained. It just turned 120k miles. The lady I bought it from had a new a/c compressor installed a few months before she sold it to me.

Last week the van ran hot and the fans quit working. I changed that little module bolted to the body beside the radiator and all is well.

But is still has a loud whining sound when the a/c is on. Its done this from the time I bought it. I dont know if it is the norm for these vans or if I need to investigate further. Its kind of a roaring whine. Similar to that of a whining power steering pump.

We are going on a trip this coming friday and I really dont want to break down.

Its a 1999 Plymouth Grand Voyager 3.3 NON flex fuel

 

make sure it's not the fan motors making the noise, could be the reason the fan module failed.
