Just replaced the discharge line on my GC...$20.00 at the dealership..
They had a pile of them on a cart within reach of the parts man...
He said they are all failing.

Can anybody tell me how much refrigerant will be needed for the recharge ?

I have a case on order. Half the price of the cheapest I could find locally at 15.00 a can...

I figure I'll be needing it in the long run...

It is printed on a Sticker under the hood, look for it. There are only like 3 stickers. It should be either under the Hood, or on the Radiator support.

If the Discharge Hose is rip, you should have a recall on it. Because the old one is too short. The new one will be longer. check your VIN with the dealer for open recalls. If you Identify your Van has the SHORTER discharge Hose that rip, but not part of the recall, Call chrysler, they might get you covered.

 

Yeah it ripped. It was the short one.
19 bucks is a hell of a lot less than the 500 it cost to get the wireless control module replaced last week.

well, that's good.
But meh... for $500, we would offer customer to upgrade to Remote start with 2 extra keys instead if a WIN module is needed to be replaced.

 

Story of my life... Everybody want's to make too much profit...

So, Have you had one of those apart ?.. The defects are obvious...

It should be for sure a recall on that piece....
