Default slow window

Hi, having trouble with the passenger side power window on my '03 Caravan. Is very slow to go up. occasionally you have to help it up by pulling on it. Was wondering how to tell if it's the motor or relay. Thanks

Pull the door trim panel off throw the switch then look for 12vdc or close to it at the motor connector. If it's there try spraying silicon spray lube in the window tracks. If that doesn't help you have three choices. Change the motor brushes, change the motor, or change the entire window regulator assembly.

thanks for the info. I bought a motor from Advance Auto that came with the regulator assembly. Can just the motor be swapped out without changing everything?

Yes you can however, from what I've read getting that coiled cable mechanism swapped can be a PIA. I just change the whole assembly. Those plastic pieces that slide up and down the guide rails on the assembly wear and break fairly often. The majority of the time I change an assembly it's because one of those breaks. Another reason to change the whole assembly.

Here's a video on how to change the assembly:

thanks Cougar41 for your help. this repair went well. Wasn't able to just change the motor because the case was different, so I invested the time to change out everything. Only problem was getting the water shield off without stretching it. I guess heating it with a blowdryer would have helped
