I just purchased a 2012 grand caravan crew today. As we were driving it around after we brought it home, we noticed that when going over 35mph the steering wheel shakes only when the brakes are applied. Any ideas why? We are obviously bringing it back to the dealer on Monday morning when they reopen, but just thought I'd get an idea of issues first. Thanks.

 

The rotors have a problem like bent/warped not true causing wheel to shake when brakes applied.

 

Thanks for your quick response. That stinks considering the car has only 13 miles on it!

 

this should not happen but there could be 2 possibilities. 1. theres something loose in the brake system or the guy who did the pdi really hammered it on delivery.
