Default 2002 Dodge Grand Caravan Sport

Our 02 Sport van is showing two codes: P0172 Fuel System Rich, P1494
leak Detection Pump Pressure Switch. I think I know what the leak detector switch is but do not know what the other code is. We go thru alot of fuel and I really want to get this fixed can anyone help. Also, are all the engines codes that Dodge uses are they genric from one model to another

Common problems for p0172 are faulty o2 sensors or filter/pressure regulator too high.
P1494 Before changing the LDP have a look at the rubber hoses for any signs of cracks or possible leaks.

I checked all the hoses and lines and have not found any cracks or leaks on the LDP. Where are the 02 sensors or filter/ presssure regulator located in the engine compartment

There are two O2 sensors. The upstream sensor is mounted forward of the cat on the exhaust manifold right behind the engine. The downstream sensor is mounted either on the cat converter or just aft of it in the exhaust. The fuel filter is mounted on top of the aft end of the fuel tank. The fuel pressure regulator is part of the fuel pump assembly and mounted in the tank.
