Default Factory radio won't turn off - kills battery

I recently purchased a 2005 Grand Caravan, with a AM/FM Tape/CD and 6 disc DVD system. I found that someone had decided to use the tape deck as a piggy bank, and it was causing the unit to keep switching from tape to radio and back. I took out the unit, fished out the change ($2.38 worth), and put the unit back in. I did not, however, disconnect the battery prior to doing. Now it does not turn off with the key out and door opening. I can turn it on with out a key, and the clock stays on all the time. It is killing the battery. I have checked every wire, connector and fuse that I can get at, to no avail. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

new radio, the change inside the radio shorted something out on the circuit board causing your issue. Time to go radio shopping.
