2000 GC 3.3ltr wont start helpp!!!
160k miles, It died yesterday like it ran out of fuel. however when i tried to start ,it was cranking but not turning over. after a few cranks it stopped and wont even crank anymore, all fluids are at good level, battery is good i checked, when i turn the key in the on position and touch the relay under the fuse box, the engine cranks but still wont turn over, help please!!!
So it cranks but won't start. You'll have to determine if you're missing spark or fuel.
Spray starter fluid in the air intake. If it fires you're missing fuel. If you have a fuel pressure test port on the fuel rail push the plunger in. Fuel should spurt out, not just dribble. Connect a fuel pressure gauge. Should see 49 PSI while cranking. Verify the pump is getting power. If it's there change the fuel pump.
Connect a timing light to each plug wire. A steady flash means the coil pack is producing spark. Disconnect a plug wire, stick a screw driver in the wire end then hold the screw driver near any metal structure while cranking. Should see a healthy spark. If there's no spark you could have a bad coil, crank/cam sensor, PCM or wiring from the PCM to the coil pack.
Which relay did you touch?

with the key, it does not crank. when touching the inside of the starter relay, it cranks. when i put in the starting fluid it ran for about 3 seconds. what it is looking like is the pcm isnt allowing the fuel to pulse or send power to the starter when turning the key. neutral switch possibly? anyone have a how to on it?
I recently changed the fuel pump in my Grand Caravan. In the process of doing that, I removed the fuel pump fuse from the fuse box under the hood. I turned the key to make an attempt to run the engine and consume the fuel in the fuel line, thus eliminating fuel pressure in the fuel lines before I disconnected them, but the engine would not even crank over. I figured this vehicle design prevents the engine from cranking if fuel pump is completely disabled. I'm not an automotive tech, but I thought this might help you in your search for an answer to your problem.
thanks everyone for the replies
so, changed the neutral safety switch still no crank, i saw there was a burn on the underside of the fuse box in the hood, so i changed that as well still no crank. Im out of ideas and really need to get this van running. is there anything i over looked?
I also put a noid light on it and it didnt light when the key was turned for crank
