well, if you don't want to spend the money, there are kits avalible to just disconnect the rear evap line under the car, and plug it up. it will remove your rear A/C unit.

make sure u discharge the A/C first before your do this job! and plug the rear evap light with Plastic cap and duct tape to prevent dirts going in.
of course, you can just weld it shut, but kits like this will make future repair possible.
