My 06 caravan has a cracked fuel neck.Dealer claims the whole fuel tank need to be replaced ($1,700 just for part) since it is one component, or so they say. I have found the fuel neck on several web sites. Does anyone have any experience with this problem?

 

well, there is 2 part, one part is One piece with the fuel tank, the other neck is the hose go from tank to gas cap. If the piece on the fuel tank broke off, then your dealer is right.
can we get the whole story? why you went to the dealer? what was the complaint? which neck is broken, the small nibbles for Fuel vapor? or the BIG neck which you fill up gas? ask your dealer questions.
