My keyless entry key got sorry & short on the job in short operated when it wanted to ! When I opened the pad I saw there was no Silicone moisture barrier @ all !!!!!!!! So I replaced with new batteries & applied with a q-tip a good coating of Dow Corning 111 valve lub & silicone Barrier to keep voltage flowing & moisture out . I coated the battery contacts + & - & all the push button carbon bowl under the touch pads & the circut boards contacts . Now I have better than new entry pads that operate everytime from a distance . Lovvorn
