Default Wet carpet

My mother in law has a 98 Caravan and says her carpet is wet on the passengers side.Door seal and roofrail seals look good so I was wondering if there are drains somewhere Im missing? I already cleaned the a/c drain for her but just had some bad storms here in FL. and her carpet is wet again..Ty all!

I had the same problem. Ended up being a rust hole under the door frame letting water splash up through the floor panel. Might check that out. Mine is temporarily fixed with duct tape until I get some sheet aluminum or something and some JB Weld.

My guess would definitely be the heater core. Its located, for the most part, right behind the glove box. Check the coolant level in the radiator. Other than that, crawl under the van and look for plugs.

I know it's not the heater core I checked that while she was here last week and since we are in sunny Florida,I bypassed it to make sure that wasn't it.This is actually happening while it sits also. She is an older woman so only drives it a few days a week and NOT in rainy or windy weather,LoL.Unplugged her a/c drain wich fixed it for a couple weeks but, after these storms we just had AND sitting in her driveway for 3-4 days her rug was still getting wet.Im not really sure how water would run in from under the door but I didn't check the seal on the outside either wich Ill do this weekend. That would let water run in from the outside of the door and inside IF there was another plug stopped up somewhere.Gonna check the outside window seal and even windshield seal also..Than you guys!

I have a 92 Town & Country with a similar issue. I keep two containers of Damp Rid in there to suck out the moisture after I figured out what the problem was. Because of the age of the vehicle, I haven't put money in to fixing: the windshield seal (leaks in the upper corner), the front door seal (not sure how water gets to where it's going, but it sure does. Drips off of the plastic trim by my driver's foot), and the rear vent window seal (this one is interesting because apparently there's a sealed metal basin in the rear corner of the van behind the side panel. When I found that leak, the basin had a good 5 to 6 inches of water in it... of course, I had left my windows open in a downpour, so that didn't help the situation...)

I also found that there are tiny rubber hole plugs in the indentations in the floor for all of the rear seats. For me, a couple of these indents were filling, trapping water, so I popped out those rubber plugs to allow them to drain.

Since then, the Damp Rid has been doing a good job of helping dry the moisture from the leaks.
