Question Windshield Replacing EASY?!

Vehicle: 2002 Dodge Caravan SE

The windshield is cracked pretty bad. I would like it replaced but would prefer to do it myself. I do have the Service Manual. Is replacing the windshield an easy enough task for a novice? Speedy Auto Glass wants $400.

I'll be heading to the wrecker tomorrow -- Dodge Caravans all look the same so I'm feeling confident i'll find a replacement windshield to toss into my 2002.

I dont recommend it for Novice, you can easily damage the new one, or water leak if you don't seal it properly. And it is a 2 man job too.
Why so expensive? Windshield replacement around my Area is $120-$200. And some place atually come to my house and do it. Call around and get a better price.

OO, no wonder, you live in Canada, I heard car repair up there are very expensive. I live in Illinois.
It really doesnt mater which shop, just try yelp.com to find a glass shop with good review and call them. Get a few estimate.
My Uncle just had his windshield replace (new) for $125 on his Camry, and was offered a Used on for $90 installed too.
And normally Glass shop charge us $190 for them to Come out to our house and do it for Minivans.

Wow, those are very good prices. Very reasonable. I will check the website and travel to Michigan for the repair this weekend.
