We have a 2007 Grand Caravan SXT, Gold in color, flawless interior and perfectly straight/clean body, has the towing package and 83,674.2 mi. It has about 2000 mi on new tires, and every thing works as it should except: The 3.8L engine is beyond repair, the block has a crack where a rod hit it and a total replacement engine is needed. The other thing is that we owe $10,980 on it, don't have the $3400 for a new motor, and will not give up $1250-1750 the salvage yards around here want for a engine with over 100K mi. I also cannot find a shortblock anywhere for it.
Opinions anyone?

 

not sure how viable it is but get a 4.0l probably need its pc.
keep looking and see if you can find a decent motor.
u owe 11000. so new low end go in the 19k to start here. so i still think viable to fix. i would see if that it has recall on the motor. might be a existing problem that dodge/chrysler might pay partial.
