Question RBZ System in 2012 Caravan

I just bought a 2012 Dodge Caravan SXT, The media center is RBZ - should the kids be able to listen to dvd using headphones while I listen to the radio? I tried following the instructions that I see in the online guides but my column for VES only says aux 1?

Also - the system does not have UConnect - is that the problem? They are supposed to be installing UConnect shortly.

I'm going to assume one video screen.

Using The Remote Control
  1. Press the MODE button on the Remote Control and the Mode Select Screen will display, unless a video is playing then only a small banner will appear on the bottom of the screen.
  2. While looking at the video screen, either press Up/Down/Left/Right on the Remote Control to highlight the desired audio source or repeatedly press the MODE button on the remote until the desired audio source appears on the screen.

From the radio......

Using The Touch-Screen Radio Controls
  1. Press the MENU hard-key on the radio faceplate.
  2. Touch the Rear VES soft-key to display the Rear VES Controls. If a channel list is displayed, press the HIDE LIST soft-key to display the Rear VES Controls screen.

  3. To listen to an audio source on Channel 2 while a video is playing on Channel 1, touch the 2 soft-key and choose an audio source. To exit touch the back arrow soft-key at the top left of the left screen.

Select Channel/Screen 2 And HDD In The MEDIA Column

Thank you I will try that out. Do you know if this system always comes with a remote or if it was an option? My dealer did not give me one.

I tried the steps above and it did not work. The third column under ves 1 only shows aux 1 - is that correct?

yes it should have come with a remote. Are you trying from the front or the back. If you only have one screen then Aux 1 is all I believe. You want to select FM from that list.

Thanks - I went back to the dealer and got new headphones and a remote.
Now everything is working
