The motor will work slightly to try and raise the window, but it doesn't do anything in trying to get it to go down. I thought for sure the motor was more than likely the problem. Evereything else looks good, regulators and all. A friend of mine that is a mechanic, told me it might not be the motor. What else could it be? It's getting power to the motor and will go up but not down. Any help? I can replace it myself if that's all it is. I just want to make sure, before I go spend the money on one.

If you're getting 12vdc at the motor with the switch up and down change the motor. You could try lubing the window edge guides with a silicone lube first. In the long run you're better off changing the whole regulator assembly, motor and all.
