Speedometer indicates 12mph when 98 van is stopped
1998 Dodge Caravan 3.3.
Speedometer reads 12 mph when van is stopped and not moving. I'm not sure how speedometer works. Any ideas on how to fix this problem?

Click this thread open a the top of the forum and find the instrument cluster diagnostic test post. Sticky: Tizzy1 and others DIY information (Multi-page thread 1 2 3 ... Last Page)
If that doesn't help you may have to either replace the cluster or diassemble it and physically move the pointer back to zero.
