Default 2009 Grand Caravan 3.3 spark knock

I am hearing excessive spark knock when the temps rise. The A/C running makes the noise more persistent, especially when accelerating. Tha van has 32,000 miles on it.
Any ideas?
Injection cleaner?
Pennzoil super detergent oil?

well, you should still have powertrain waranty, right? if it is an engine failure, why not go to dealer?

Default You have given little info ??

Look on your intake manifold & unplug your M.A.P. sensor . Pull the red lock on the harnes & then pull the plug out of the sensor . This should give an alarm , but eliminate the knock ?
This is my internet Guess !! Lovvorn

Doubtful if this issue would be covered under "warranty" - if something catastrophic failed, maybe. But knock...

I did take the van to my local dealer when it still had 10 days of bumper to bumper for a few issues - none were resolved and I was told 2 different techs test drove it on the freeway to diagnose - it had 4 more miles on it that when I dropped it off - must have been short test drives.

The Powertrain waranty covers all mechanical parts of the engine. If the repair requires to replace any parts inside the engine, it will be covered.
If you can duplicate the noise in front of the Tech, and you next to him, then he has to fix it.
well, what was the concern you brought it in with? you should have test drove with the tech.

That's the problem with the powertrain warranty in this situation - the possibility of the spark knock being caused by an internal engine part is quite low, no? I took the van in for a clunking/popping in the right front when going over bumps, the sliders pop under acceleration or braking when it's cold outside and there is a growl/hum from somewhere (trans or wheel bearing) when on the freeway. I really wish I had time to drive around with the techs! If they would even allow that to happen?

Yes, we are suppose to test drive with customer if concern can not be duplicated.
Sliders pops on all Caravans, it is just how these vans are cheaply made.
Huming noise could be just a tire noise. As for the front wheel bearing, it has a 8y/90k extended waranty on it, you can walk in and get that done later.

And if the Knocking noise is not from the engine, then where would it be from? you still have to get it look at by someone.
