Default 2011 caravan overhead DVD

Hi
Last year we bought a caravan. I am looking to install DVD in the overhead compartment. I have been told I can get the DVD system aftermarket that can be install but I have not been able to find any. Can anyone help me?

I'm in the same boat. I recently purchased a 2011 crew with the RBZ radio in it. Here is what I have found out so far..

For model years 2008 through 2010, Dodge offers a kit to do either a single screen or dual screen Video Entertainment system (VES). The single screen kit is part # 82211707. However, this does not help us who own 2011 vans.

From what I can tell, the actual DVD player that mounts under the radio has not changed from 2008. So I think they may have changed the screens (8' to 9" perhaps?). You can buy just the screens from Dodge, but they are very pricey.

I guess the real mystery is why Dodge does not offer the kit for the 2011 van that they offer for the 2008-2010?

On the west coast, Hertz is in the process of selling off their 2011 vans, so lots of these are on the market right now. I think some could make some money by offering a ready to go single or dual screen kit that can be used with the overhead console.

I saw that. I would love to be able to do that, but I would first need to find the proper 'donor' car. Living in the middle of no-where means I don't have alot of access to wrecking yards with late model cars. I have been poking around parts catalogs to see what it would take to do what he did, and I can't even find the harness on the web.

I wish you could search the internet for wrecking yards by make and model.

Well, It looks like I may end up being the guinea pig on this one. I got lucky on Craigslist a few weeks ago, and have ordered the harness to try to do the install myself.
