long loads on roof rack (2012 caravan SXT)
Hello,
The manual says:
Long loads which extend over the windshield,
such as wood panels or surfboards, or loads with
large frontal area should be secured to both the
front and rear of the vehicle.
However, it does not give any hint on where to secure anything to either front or rear of the vehicle.
I could not find anything solid to hook or wrap a rope around anything in the front or back underside, all I could see was flimsy decorative plastic.
Any suggestions?
Also, the roof rails themselves do not seem to be anchored to the frame of the vehicle, but only to the tin of the roof. When I press on the rail where the crossbar position, it gives and flexes the surface of the roof with it.
Is that normal?
