Default P0032 & p0038

I have a 2008 Chrysler Town and Country 3.3 L
CEL came on,had codes read at Autozone, came up with P0032 and P0038
Both Sensors on Bank 1
I doubt both heater circuits failed at the same time.

Is there something common to both these codes?
Wiring issue?

I have read online that there is some sort of reflash TSB for the firmware but have been unable to verify this.

Nothing has been done so far ,van starts and runs fine.

Is this most likely bad O2's or more like a fault in the PCM?
Internal error or reflash ?

I know to use OEM sensors if i go that route.

Anyone run into this issue on these before?

Any help is appreciated

Failed state Emissions test

TIA

Joe

Did you fail the test due to high emissions or due to the fact the light was on?

Not likely a sensor issue, make sure to check wiring and every related system first.

Thanks for replying, sorry i haven't had time to get back to you .
Had to put it on the back burner for awhile but now i have some time to deal with it.

Vehicle failed due to the light coming on and the codes stored only.
Cel has been coming on for some time now but doesnt stay on.
While waiting, idling in line for the test, the light popped on .
Of course they failed it right away.

Any help would be appreciated
TIA

Joe

How did you end up resolving this? I have the same issue, it occurs while idling for long periods in hot weather.

Did you fall under the 8 year 80K mile EPA warranty on PCMs?

No, Van was past the 8/80
Thought the extended warranty was expired too but it still was in, barely, so it covered the repairs.
Ended up working out OK
