Unhappy asking for help

i have a 98 caravan 3.0L, and i cant figure this out.... my instrument cluster is out with an ABS and ck eng lt light on, will not shift into ovrdrv,and the auto door locks (over 16mph) don't work. codes are #63** and p1698. first was intermitten now constant but van runs great...

Could be the all too common cracked solder joints on the instrument cluster circuit board killing the CCD data bus. The data bus connects all the modules in the van. Smack the dash above the cluster and see if anything changes.

63 is is an internal PCM EEPROM failure
1698 is saying the BCM (body controller) is not recieving CCD data from the TCM (transmission controller)

thank you.... i took out the instrument cluster and ckecked the solder joints and could not identify and cracked or burnt joints. however after i put it back together it worked... at least for now... going to check it again with a BIG magnifing glass

Even if they look good, reflow them with a soldering iron. The cracks can be tiny.
