Question Passenger Side Interior Leak

Hello to all! I am new to the forum, and have already found a great deal of information pertaining to my 2008 Grand Caravan. What I have not seen (at least regarding a 2008 GC) is any post about folks who have experienced water on the passenger side floor below the dash. We bought the van less than one year ago, and have had it to a Chrystler dealership about 4 times for the problem. It was initially thought to be the drain hose, and they tore the dash down (twice!) and said they got it fixed. It was for about 60 days before we had water on the floor again. BY this time, water also damaged the blower motor. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, what was the fix for the leak?

Did they check the wiper well drain for blockage?

What about the heater core. That is usually the problem with water on the passenger side.

Default water leaking into caravan

I had this problem on my 2000 Caravan and recently got it fixed. Took it to a shop and the mechanic cleaned out under the wiper blade assembly. He said the area has drainage holes on each side of the car and they can get plugged up with tiny debris like pine needles and leaves which was my case. Heavy rains will fill up the compartment faster than the water can properly drain out and when this happens it overflows into the car. I used to be able to hear the water sloshing around in the dashboard area after a heavy rain.

He said the area had to have the ability to take in air for the blowers systems which was why it could fill up and overflow into the car. So cleaning out the holes on the two sides should fix the drainage problem as long as there isn't a great deal of rust built up around them. So I would look there first instead of removing the dashboard, I think his work was done from the outside by removing the wipers and the panel under them to get to the clogged drainage holes.... though this was just my experience, I hope it helps you.

EDIT: was reading more posts and found this related one for you : https://dodgeforum.com/forum/dodge-c...et-carpet.html
