Default New tcm
I bought a new TCM for my van and they are programming it before shipping. Same part number and they required my VIN and Mileage. Here is my dilema - it's been shipped and my brother drove it 30 miles and didn't know he wasn't suppose to. So now, I am about 30 miles over the mileage I submitted to them. Is this an issue? Will my car not work or recognize the TCM since the mileage will be off - and is there a way short of paying to get it reprogrammed to fix it?

Model year? The odometer mileage display is driven by the BCM not the TCM in most models.

More than likely they wanted the mileage for warranty records.
