Default Wet carpet

wet carpet. Why? How to remove wiper arms?
06 caravan---carpet is wet on passenger side after raining. i have read causes on the forum about a/c back up.

my a/c when on is dripping out of the drain tube on the firewall. i added an extension to it to ensure that it would leak out the tube. before installing extension, it would go down firewall and then drip toward the ground.. now it leaks straight down since putting on extension. i ran some sealant around backside of extension where it meets the firewall for added protection.

all the doors are well sealed and isn't leaking from that area.

is there a reservoir in the hvac that could be filling up without a Speedly DRAIN out the drain tube thus overflowing. I blew air through the drain tube of a/c without restriction. i ran 3 gallons of water over windshield and more into the cowel without seeing water coming down on the carpet.

In spite of your test it sounds like the wiper cowl drain is clogged. I believe an 06 has one. Maybe more??? A/C drain is out since it's only while raining. Leaking windshield seal isn't likely but keep it on the list. Cowl drain is easy to fix. Disconnect, pull the debris out of the cowl and tube, reconnect. Other possibility is a leaking heater core. Check you coolant level.

Thanks for response. I am determined to find leak source. Don't know if i will though, but not because i quit trying. still confused because i poured 3 gallons of water and still didn't see leak on the rug. question.

I poured water down drain in the cowel, btw, pretty big inlet for water to go down. the water came pouring out significantly. so it's clear.

I am still going to check the a/c drain again. water does drip out but maybe there is stilll lots of water in there that never drained out as should have. i did blow through a tube into a/c drain. i will try my manual pump and see what happens.

heater core, don't think so because leak is not on that side and i stuck my hand up there and felt around couldn't feel water. maybe there is a weld tack that came apart on the firewall under the insulation that i can see when in the engine compartment. maybe water drains down and through.

You might also consider that it could be caused by water being thrown up while driving, rather than falling from rain. When looking at the firewall area, look for rotted seals where the a/c lines and wiring harnesses enter the passenger compartment.

Typically, when a heater core leaks, you can smell the antifreeze (assuming you have an acute sniffer).

Thanks for helping. Not coolant, checked, level not down, no smell of coolant.

will check for compartment passages for entrances of water.

i turned a/c on today, and do have a drip coming out the drain in the engine compartment areas, as it should be. however i did place paper towel down on passenger side, location: where the a/c drain goes out through fire wall, notice it damped, not soaked after 15 minutes of driving.

i did try to snake out the a/c drain though and also blew air through mouth as it went through a hose into drain. no, resistantance, nothing seemed to be clogged.

I put another hose in the drain last night and blew through it, without restriction. no water release. i also put a guided a screw driver, back side of the screw driver and then tried the front part without any results.

i am now concentrating on the drain tube on the inside of the passenger side prior to the drain going through the firewall. putting paper cloth under it and running a/c. will check continously after stopping van for paper towel getting we. a friend at church on his caravan had that location where the leak was. he caulked it and no leaks after a few weeks.

another guy i know that he fixed pacific because at the firewall under the carpet there was a mig weld that came apart and water came down through there.
