On a 2005 grand caravan the battery went low when the key was left on. The van was boosted to start and since then the air bag warning light has been coming on in the cluster and the passenger light on the centre of the dash has been showing the passenger air bag is off. I do not know for sure if the two are connected but I think that boosting has hurt something. I am wondering if someone on this site might be able to point me in a direction to start.

Start by disconnecting the negative battery cable for 30 minutes to try to reset the module. When the light comes on are you turning the steering wheel? May be the clockspring mechanism in the steering wheel. Other than that I would have the pros look at it.

 

I would check fuses too.

 

Thanks for the replies. I did disconnect the battery overnight and also checked all of the harness connections to the passenger seat still no change. I will check the fuses and let you know.

 

Well I checked all of the fuses and they are fine.
So I guess a trip to the dealer it is.
