Default What is this hose called?

My first post in Dodge Forum!

I have a 2003 Grand Caravan Sport with the 3.3 L engine. I just finished replacing the #6 fuel injector, but one of the hoses split while I was putting it all back together. It's the hose that goes from the air cleaner to the front valve cover. Is there a specific name for that hose?

It looks to be a preformed hose, so I want to make sure I'm buying the correct one. Thanks! (See photo below).

It's one of the PCV hoses.

Let me ask you a question. What was the reason for the #6 injector replacement?

I haven't had the van very long and have been fixing it up a bit. I hit the gas the other day and the check engine light came on and I could feel the engine misfiring. The codes were P0206 (#6 injector circuit problem) and P0306 (cylinder 6 misfire).

I replaced the plugs & wires (which I needed to do anyway) and tested the coil pack with my trusty multimeter. After that didn't help, I replaced the injector and plenum gasket set. Hopefully that does the trick.

Why do you ask?

Rather than go into a whole long story here, i'm just going to refer you over to a thread. I know there's one on this forum, but this one is pretty strung out and some decent pics in it too. The short of it...check the injector harness for insulation melted off the wires and wires touching each other. http://forum.chryslerminivan.net/sho...wn-and-Country

Of course, we techs have known about this for a long time, however the DIYers are running into them now too. When you said injector control circuit, a bell went off. It's not a huge deal, but you really need to check it and don't drive it until you get it fixed or you might kill the PCM. This applies to 2001, 2002 and 2003 models with a 3.3 or 3.8. I haven't run into a 2004 or newer yet that this happened on.

Thanks for the tip. Sure enough, the fuel rail wiring harness is fried. I'd have never thought to look for that, so I appreciate the help...especially considering my original question was about a stupid air hose. Looks like I'll be forking out the cash for a new wiring harness. I'll be sure there is plenty of heat resistant material on vulnerable parts of the new one, however.
