Default Replacing factory speakers

Has anyone replaced the factory speakers in their Caravan? Crutchfiield says the dash take 5 1/4" speakers. I bought a pair of Pioneer 5 1/4" speakers, and they don't seem to fit. The mounting brackets don't match up to the mounting holes. Also, Crutchfield says 6 1/2" speakers for the door, but a few other sites say the 6x8 speakers fit in there.

What year van? My 02 took 5 1/4" in the dash and 6X9 everywhere else.

That speaker is really close enough, just get some washers and call it a day. They just need to be secured, they won't produce enough bass to vibrate.

One more question. There are 4 wires going to the current speaker. Do you know the connections, because I'm going to have to cut the harness off to connect to the new Pioneers.
