Default Front brake hoses????

Took my 2006 grand caravan SXT to get inspected and they said it passed.
Mechanic suggested getting front brakes and rotors replaced because the rotors had been overheated and are warped ( i knew they where because of the shaking) Mechanic also said that the front pads on passenger side were half the size of the ones on the drivers side (caliper froze 5 months ago and never changed the pads or rotors. this happened to both sides within a few months so accounting for the warp and pads worn on passenger side because didn't get fixed right away). Mechanic is telling me that the front brake hoses are bad and on the passenger side the hose isn't allowing the fluid to return to the reservoir therefore causing the brake to drag and causing the wear on the pads and the drivers side hose isn't allowing sufficient fluid to the caliper to work correctly, He says that sometimes that a piece of hose will come off on the inside causing these issues. This sounds like some real hot air to me but wanted to post here and make sure before i shell out $140. thx

The van also pulls to the right which I have read many posts and also asked on here and that is pretty much the way these vans are but he said that should go away after changing the hose.

Not to say what was said is the case but it was far from hot air. That flap in the brake line turns into a check valve trapping pressure in the caliper keeping the associated brake applied. Is he saying the pistons and sliders are ok? New calipers and slider pins may be needed.

Both calipers are new within the last 6 months and when we changed the pads and rotors yesterday we had no problems pushing back the piston on the passenger side which is the one he said he had a hard time with because wasn't allowing fluid to return to the master cylinder.

Looks like you already have it back to gather, but you should have changed the hoses while you had it apart. You may have problems down the road.

I do have the hoses but we couldn't get the hard line broke free without twisting the lines off. Anyone have ways of breaking the lines free from the fittings so we don't twist them and break the lines.
