2002 Caravan occasionally won't start (nothing happens)

Slinck-venge Don't buy a new start check this out first,the copper pick up that power the starter are under the solenoid under the silver cap the pick up may be worn out ck you tube for five dollar start repair on how to repair it cost me ten dollar for the new pick up at start shop This work on my 1984 2.6 caravan and my 2001 caravan I'm DAVet on fix income so I know it works!

I did the (Click of Death Repair) contact replacement. Its way cheaper and you gotta crawl under there and pull it anyway so why not save the cash.

Have a look at my post on it and go to the 4wheel crawler link for more info.

Dorman also has a repair kit part number 02349 . It had 4 different sized terminals and its $25ish but it might be faster/easier to get than a dealer depending on your location.

I updated my page on the starter repair to so the 4wheelerparts link takes you right to the page with instructions & photos, and parts ordering. He shipped mine to me right away.

The Dorman kit contains all 4 of those contacts plus new bolts. Just an fyi.

I don't think that kit was around back when I did mine, or I (we) missed it. Nice of it to be available like that now.
