My van does not have the power sliding doors. The right rear passenger door will not unlock when pressing the unlock button on either front door. Could this be a wiring problem, or most likely the actuator? The other door locks work fine. Any help is appreciated.

 

The motor in the actuator has most likely failed. Mopar only sells the complete actuator but I replaced just the motor with one I purchased on ebay.

This may not be the correct motor for your van but it is like the one I replaced.

Not to sure of the lock circuit for unpowered doors. If there's no wire harness at the adjacent cavity at the bottom of the door as in powered door applications, shouldn't there be contacts on the door frame of some sort to complete the lock circuit when the door is shut. If so, could those be misaligned or dirty in this case, anyone?

 

My '04 has a wire harness but not the powered door. I can lock the door with the door open.

 

Thanks papaduck. In that case, eastxcaravan, have a look at the wire harness mentioned. It is a source of many door problems on these vans because it flexes everytime you open and close the door. Here's how to accesses it:
