Heh, tried tightening the plate screws and it stopped for a while but I was told it would return.

Just wondering ? Should I install the gasket dry. I see some folks use Indian Head Shellac. Would that make it a real bit - pain if it had to come off again?

 

I've used the indian head stuff on water pump hoses with great results. so if you don't want the stuff to leak I would suggest using it!

 

Thanks, I'm just wondering how it dries. If I were to have to go at it again I wouldn't want to have to do some heavy scraping in those ports and ways.

 

Ya well thats the problem you would have to do heavy scraping cause that stuff is good.

 

I'll leave it dry ten. I have read lots of install posts and seen a few U-Tube videos and none of which suggest it. They are not most common to leak there any ways. Mostly hair line cracks in the casting and in my case at the bottom of the plastic front plate that has the electrical connection at the top. It leaks at cover and the where it meets the body.
I'm going to do an exploratory and post it.
