2010 dodge caravan - twisted wiper arm?
picture the wipers from the drivers point of view.
i am getting (i call it) a flap noise as the rubber changes direction at the top of its stroke.
-this is only the passenger wiper blade
-i removed the blade and put a piece of wax paper under the wiper arm where it contacted the windshield and ran it that way (not on the road) and no noise what so ever.
- i have changed blades six (yes 6) times in the last week.
that side was chattering so i thought the blades were worn. after i changed it there was a squeak (definitely from the blade) at the top of its stroke.
i changed and changed and finally with a teflon blade i am "only" getting the flap as the rubber changes direction to go down. this does not happen at the low end of travel.
i used blades from michelin and crappy tire.
one thing. contact with the windshield at the top (passenger blade, where the flap occurs) is strong enough to leave a temporary mark.
i dont believe there is anything wrong with the mechanism itself.
could i have twisted the arm at an earlier time?
thx for any help/advice.
otherwise, since chrysler finall fixed the rear brakes (3 sets of calipers/rotors/pads) the vehicle has run pretty well.
thx again
