"The temp sliders for the temp go bad. Probably need a new control head."
Just curious Tizzy. This is apples and oranges but I had a Camry a few years back that the temperature slider switch went flackey on. Select the amount of heat you want and it may or may not stay warm. Push up or down on the switch and the heat would return.
I took the head out and disassembled it (great fun). I found the soldered contacts securing the switch to the circuit board were cracked (sound familiar - 3rd gen clusters). Re-flowed the solder, reassembled and all was well. Just wonder if you or anyone you know of has attempted similar on a head for a Caravan or if it's even possible. Is it an option for kittykat if it is indeed a bad slider switch?
