Default 2008 DVD Install into my van

Hey everyone! I'm sure the infor mation is out there some where. I know people have done this upgrade also. But I need some spacifics on upgrading my non enterainment equiped 2008 Caravan SXT.
Right now we have the rail roof system with just the bins and the standard single disc radio.
Heres what I know so far:
need screens, DVD unit to mount in the dash, wiring harnesses to connect them all.
Here's my questions:
1) Do I need to swap out the head unit for the DVD system to work? I don't care about having split screen watching capabilities.
2) What are the Dodge part numbers for all the wiring harnesses?
3) Has any tried to intergrate a single DIN DVD unit into the dash to send video to the overhead screens? Seems these are less expensive to find on ebay and should fit the factory slot.

My abililty is unlimited to do this. Just needing some resourses before moving forward.

I have already purchused 2 screens off ebay. So I'm comitted at this point to go through with it.

emower419,

I don't know the answer to your questions but you may find them somewhere in the following thread: http://forum.chryslerminivan.net/sho...ds-of-PICTURES

There may also be some useful information in this thread: http://forum.chryslerminivan.net/sho...1-Caravan-Crew

And here a a couple links to install instructions for the rear entertainment system:
