Default Courtesy Lights

Recently replaced stock courtesy lights with LED lights in 2011 Dodge Grand Caravan. After replacing the map lights with LED I noticed the light switch to the left of the steering column does not turn the inside lights on. When opening the doors the inside lights do not come on. And, when the van is on the inside lights are on but are very dim. When I turn the ignition the lights come on! What did I mess up?

Well, it could be that the module that feeds the power to the lamps and grounds the lamps doesn't know what to do with the LED lights because it thinks it has incandesent lamps. So when it sends out it's diagnostic current and doesn't see the right return, it sets a code and stops trying to operate them.

Put the old bulbs back in and see if things work If everything is OK scrap the LED's and find ones with the right resistance values to work with the module.
