108K Mile Service
As per another recent post, I recently purchased a 2005 GC (3.8 engine) with 108,000 miles. It did not have any documented maintenance, but I was told by the previous owner that it had simply had regular engine oil changes. I would like to do a DIY service that assumes nothing except engine oil has been changed in the past. I have been going through the Dodge recommended maintenance schedule and come up with the following plan. I would appreciate your comments on what I might be missing or what you would do differently:
1. Transmission fluid and filter change (ATF4+). Using the pan-drop method, not flushing.
2. New spark plugs
3. New ignition cables
4. New PCV valve
5. New engine air filter
6. New AC air filter
I'm also going to do the recommended checks - e.g. belts.
Thanks for your feedback.
