So my wife and I just bought a newer (coming from an 01 GC SE) 08 GC SE, we noticed the we could not get the dash to brighten without having to turning the interior lights on. Also displayed on the dash is the word "gate". Could it be a bad relay or fuse?

Van came with only one 1 key, they key does not have any remote lock/unlock/start looks like a basic transponder key can someone point me to directions to add a new key guide, thanks

the gate could mean that the rear door is open or the switch telling its closed is defective.

for the key fob you going to have problems due to this probably needs to go back to the dealer to get programmed thru the computers they use.

What options are on the van? remote start? automatic doors? that all dictate the buttons on the remote.

if you have 2 working keys you can program the third key. but 1 you need to have to get them to clear memory and re program as 2 keys again.

Gate is completely closed i think it's a bad sensor but i don't know where it's located I'm guessing either near the latch or in the latch itself. Is there a good place on the net that has visual repair guides?

If you need a driver's manual you can download it from the Chrysler website. Should be something in there about programming and lighting.
