Help My Headlights wont turn on 2008 Dodge Caravan
Hello
My question is this. My headlights wont turn on when i turn the **** on my 2008 Dodge Caravan.
Sometimes it will flicker and it does seem to turn on when some fuses are jiggled in the fuse box but when the car is turned off and used again, the headlights will not come back on. The lights in the van do come on. it just seems to be the headlights and high beams.
Please excuse my ignorance on the subject but i want to ask before i take it to a mechanic and they charge me for something i have no idea about. thanks

Have a look at the owners manual and find the information concerning fuses. Pull each of the fuses and the relay then reinsert them making sure they're all the way in. This action will remove some of the corrosion that has built up over the years.
If this doesn't work, it's mechanic time.

The circuit for your headlights goes from the switch to the instrument cluster then over the CAN data bus circuit to the fuse box (TIPM) and out to your headlights. There is no dedicated headlights fuse. Which ever fuse you wiggle to get the lights to come on must be effecting the entire TIPM. Try to nail down the exact fuse. If reseating it as was suggested doesn't help you can then try bending the tabs on the fuse a bit to make better contact.
If the dealership troubleshoots this to a bad TIPM you're looking at $500 and up to troubleshoot/replace/reprogram it. It often goes back order.
