2002 Transmission interchange
After lots of searching, I can't seem to find a definitive answer, but I did come across this thread:
http://forum.chryslerminivan.net/sho...3rd-Generation
I've just bought a 02 T&C 3.3 with a dead transmission, 215K on the original unit
I have a connection to a 84,000 tranmission from a wrecked but still driveable 04 Caravan 3.3 for $300. The 03+ newer transmissions are much more robust and are much cheaper ($300 vs $750 for an 01-02)
From what research I've done, it seems that I'm technically limited to 01-02 according to all the interchange guides, but the thread above makes me think this will work. Just checking in to see if any other 4th gen'ers have done a swap. I know the 05-07's are quite different internally, and controlled by the PCM but if those are a direct swap-in that would be even better.
