Default 2010 Grand Caravan Corrosion (Rust) on Driver's Door-Inside

Just recently noticed there is corrosion taking place on the driver's door of our 2010 Grand Caravan-will try to get some pics of the area when time allows.

The problem area is right along the lower edge of the plastic door panel, without removing the door panel, not sure to what extent the problem is. Passenger door looks to be clean & free of any signs of the problem.

Odd thing is this is on the inside of the vehicle, and there is a weatherstrip that keeps the elements out.

Anyone else notice this on their van?

That's why I like to spray a can or two of corrosion inhibitor before the winter. Wmart sells WD Corrosion inhibitor for like $8. http://www.wd40specialist.com/produc...ion-inhibitor/

A 2010 vehicle should not have any corrosion. You should take it to the dealership to see what they have to say. I think surface rust is not covered.

Good luck

I have a 2010 dodge grand caravan with corrosion on the hood, the paint is currently bubbling. Also the paint on my drivers side slider door has paint chipping . In addition to all that my slider doors have not been right since I bought it almost 3 years ago. Almost immediately after buying it I noticed white scuff marks on the rear wheel wells on both side. After a year Chrysler agreed to fix it. All was good for about 6 months and they came back. I was told that there was a recall and Chrysler agreed to fix it again, this time it was This was done just this past December, now here we are in March and they are back. There's definitely something wrong with the paint on my vehicle and I'm waiting for Chrysler to see how they would like to proceed. It's kind of ridiculous that I've had to deal with this stuff for almost 3 years. The rust on my hood blows my mind, there's no way a 2010 should have this much paint issues. I would like to see them repaint the whole van.
